One more ultra-slim. Motorola’s SLVR L7 builds upon what the company calls the core of its evolving design philosophy beginning with Razr V3 - being sleek and thin.
Target: The phone’s been created for the successful and image conscious consumers who look for both performance and style.
Looks: The SLVR L7 is narrower than the size of a credit card (86 x 54 mm), though it’s about double the length. It is certainly slimmer than the Razr’s 13.9 mm profile and expectedly feather light at 85 grams.
The SLVR L7 also has an illuminated precision cut keypad with a metallic spun finish, chrome-plated side keys, glass display, glass-filled body for rigidity and anodized aluminium battery door.
Storage: There’s 5.0 MB of internal memory for storage of photos, ringtones, and text messages. For those who like to download, save and store music, video clips and more onto an optional TransFlash/ Micro SD memory card for endless storage capacity. The phone book can save up to 1000 entries. And there’s up to 512 MB or removable TransFlash memory.
Fun features: Just about any MP3 file recorded from a CD, voice or anything else can be set as a ringtone. The phone comes with a large 176 x 220 pixel 262k color TFT display for vivid pictures and videos. The SLVR L7 supports all Bluetooth-enabled headsets.
Stay connected: Going beyond traditional SMS-based chat, the SLVR includes Wireless Village for instant messaging. Wireless Village allows access to a number of popular chat programs on the SLVR, such as AOL, ICQ, Yahoo and MSN.
Other features: These include quad band GSM 850/900/1800/1900, a battery life in standby mode of up to 140 hours and talk mode of up to four hours. The integrated VGA camera has 4x zoom, video capture and playback. The connectivity technologies are GPRS, Bluetooth 1.2 and WAP 2.0.
The digital MP3 player enables users to store, repeat, shuffle and play favourite tunes. There’s also a 22Khz polyphonic speaker and downloadable wallpapers, screensavers and MP3 ringtones.
