Pantech PN820 is a Microsoft Windows Mobile 5.0 powered smartphone, equipped with a QVGA 240 x 320 pixel, 65k color TFT display, a 1.3 megapixel camera, Bluetooth and WiFi for connectivity and a MiniSD card slot for those who need more space for their stuff, disguised as a very elegant, smooth looking clamshell phone. This is Pantech’s first high-end model for Verizon. Until now, the carrier has only sold low-end Pantech phones. With the features and applications installed, such as mobile editions of Microsoft Office and Windows Media Player, PN820 will easily cope with many different types of files. Some might find it inconvenient that the numeric pad was not replaced with a keyboard, especially because the handheld runs on Windows Mobile 5.
The phone is expected to launch with the US carrier on December 29th, but no word on the pricing yet.
