The Sony Ericsson W710 Walkman® clamshell mobile phone, further expands the Walkman phone family with applications and accessories targeting an active and sporty lifestyle.
Fitness applications measure jogging speed and distance with the pedometer counting daily steps, and both the Walkman player and FM radio can be controlled using the external sub-display and quick-access external keys. TrackID™ powered by Gracenote Mobile MusicID records a few seconds of a track from the radio, sends the track to the Gracenote® music database for identification and returns the information to the phone.
It has the full range of mobile entertainment and business features including 2 Megapixel camera, Disc2Phone® software for easy track transfer from legacy CDs, Memory Stick Micro™ removable storage (up to 4G available), video streaming, full HTML browser, RSS feed support and Mobile Java™ 3D gaming.
The W710 has a 176×220 pixel, 262K color main display and supports Sony Ericsson’s Java Platform 7 (JP-7) with a range of JSRs, including Advanced Multimedia Supplements (JSR 234) for enhanced camera and image handling.
The W710 will be available during Q3 2006.
