Sony Ericsson has announced they will release an upgrade to the popular Z520a clamshell mobile, dubbed the Z525a.
The Z525a handset has identical specs to its predecessor the Z520a, but with additional handset features like 4x digital zoom VGA Camera, 1.8″ 262k color TFT LCD internal display, Bluetooth wireless, external speakerphone, and 12MB of built-in memory. The most noticeable addition to the Z525a model is the Push-To-Talk functionality, which really puts this phone in a solid position to beat any featureset that an entry-level phone could offer.

The Z525 will come in several versions, which includes the American version (Z525a) announced today. The Z525i (international), Z520a (Americas), and Z520c (China). The Quad-Band Sony Ericsson Z525a is expected to be released to wireless carriers in the US during 2Q, 2006.
