8×8, Inc. Promotes Mehdi Salour to Vice President of Service Delivery and Support

8×8, Inc. , provider of Packet8 residential, business and video Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) phone services, today announced that Mehdi Salour has been promoted to the position of Vice President of Service Delivery and Support.

Mr. Salour most recently served as 8×8’s Director of Customer Care where he played an instrumental role in developing the CRM (Customer Relationship Management) strategy while 8×8 was transitioning from an OEM technology company to a customer-centric service provider. Prior to that, he served 8×8 in various other positions including IT Network Engineer, Network Operations Engineer, Manager of Technical Support and Director of Technical Support.

Mr. Salour will also oversee 8×8’s recently opened Packet8 Network Operations Center (NOC) in Santa Clara, California which monitors the company’s voice and video networks on a 24×7 basis.

Mr. Salour holds a B.S. in Electrical Engineering and is an M.S. degree candidate in Software Engineering with concentrations in networking software and security.
