April 3rd, 2006 - Posted in VoIP

Interoute, a European communications technology provider and owner operator of a next-generation voice and data network, has launched iSip, a secure corporate VoIP service for businesses.

Interoute said its service provides companies with the first secure, enterprise-class alternative to popular VoIP services such as Skype.

iSip provides businesses with the advantages of VoIP telephony, namely free Internet calls, free national fixed line calls and reduced charges to mobiles and international calls, with none of the associated security concerns of free VoIP services.

The iSip service is delivered via Interoute’s next generation network and is designed to provide the cost benefits of popular VoIP services while giving control back to an organizations’ IT department.
