Message Technologies, Inc. (MTI) Adds Voip Option For Speech Automation And Outsourced Call Center Clients

VoIP offers virtually identical, comparable quality of service and sound quality as time division multiplexing (TDM), with at least nine other substantial advantages, including:

- call compression placing 200 ports on a single box as opposed to 92 ports with TDM
- easier integration with existing (CTI) interfaces in customers’ call centers

MTI now has a VoIP staging and production platform on both VoiceGenie and Microsoft to accept incoming calls into the company’s data center, from either a public or private IP network. The company uses the industry standard session initiation protocol (SIP Proxy) to intelligently distribute VoIP calls as well as provide load balancing and data management. MTI previously only accepted TDM calls. In addition, plans to shift MTI’s Disaster Recovery center in Dallas towards a VoIP-compatible environment are in process.
