Sprint Nextel and Time Warner Cable expand VoIP deal
August 8th, 2006 - Posted in VoIPSprint Nextel and Time Warner Cable have expanded their agreement for the provision of voice-over-IP telephony to cover 28 million homes. The new five-year deal extends Time Warner’s VoIP services to a further 14 areas, with Sprint supplying the IP network. Sprint currently has 1.2 million VoIP customers, with this figure expected to double over the next twelve months, while Time Warner had 1.6 million VoIP users at the end of June.
